Senator Leahy Stands Up For Vermont, Calls For United And Immediate Response For Disaster Recovery

At a news conference on Capitol Hill Senator Leahy joined several of his colleagues to call for immediate action on legislation to provide additional disaster assistance funding to the many Americans working to recover from the recent series of storms. Leahy, surrounded by Senators from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Louisiana, made it clear that Vermonters cannot wait for Washington to sort out their differences and concerns over offsets and that this is a time for action.
