Leahy Opposes Murkowski Resolution on Greenhouse Gases

Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) on Thursday joined colleagues on the Senate floor for a debate on the resolution by Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) that would prevent the EPA from regulating reductions in greenhouse gases. During his statement, Leahy announced he will oppose this resolution because it will overturn strong scientific evidence with a political veto. By supporting this resolution, Leahy says, we will "undermine America's ability to clean our air and our waters."
