Free Registration Deadline Nears For Leahy’s 20th Annual Women’s Economic Opportunity Conference

. . . Conference And Workshops Features Keynote By U.S. Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch

The May 27 registration deadline is nearing for Vermont's June 4 Annual Women's Economic Opportunity Conference, presented by U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy.  The gathering at Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center – featuring two dozen practical workshops, and keynote speaker U.S. Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch – marks the 20th anniversary of the event. The conference is open to all, and there are no charges for registration or lunch (child care is now filled to capacity). But advance registration is required.

Leahy said, “On June 4th we are marking 20 years of bringing Vermont women together for these focused, hands-on sessions to sharpen skills and open new horizons.  It is fitting that Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch will be with us to celebrate this tradition and this special anniversary.  The Women’s Economic Opportunity Conference attracts and represents the talent, professionalism and entrepreneurial spirit that sets our great state apart, and her inspirational life is in perfect harmony with what these conferences are all about.”

The day’s events will begin at 8 a.m., bringing together hundreds of Vermont women looking to explore new careers, forge professional contacts, discover financial resources and get more from social media.  With more than two dozen workshops to choose among, there will be a range of offerings for many skill levels to support women at all stages of professional and personal development.
