Accessibility grants are available through the United State Department of Agriculture Rural Development program
Vermont Community Development Block program
The Vermont Department of Housing and Community Affairs provides Federal grants from access improvements to municipal buildings and libraries as well as accessibility modification grants.
Tax Credits and Grants
Owners of historic and non-historic buildings may be eligible for federal and state tax credits and deductions and federal and state grants
Disabled Access Tax Credit provides a Federal 50% tax credit for expenses up to $10,250.

Tax Deduction to Remove Architectural and Transportation Barriers provides Federal tax deductions up to $15,000.

Rehabilitation Investment Tax Credit (RITC) – provides a Federal 20% tax credit for substantial rehabilitation of income-producing historic buildings.

Vermont Downtown Program - In designated downtowns, a 5% state tax credit that is added to the RITC (above) or a 25% tax credit for rehabilitation of older and historic buildings that cannot use the RITC.
The Vermont Arts Council offers state grants to work on cultural facilities including access improvements.

The mission of the Vermont Teacher of the Year Program is to promote the profession and recognize the best teaching professionals who are implementing "best practices" within classrooms. Vermont’s recipient represents the many excellent teachers in our state.
Vermont Principal’s Association Hall of Fame
The VPA Hall of Fame was formed in January 2001 to honor and recognize outstanding individuals who through distinguished service and achievement, have excelled in one or more high school athletic/fine arts programs sponsored by the VPA.
The Milken Family Foundation National Educator Awards program provides public recognition and financial rewards to elementary and secondary schoolteachers, principals and other education professionals who are furthering excellence in education. By honoring outstanding educators, the program strives to attract, develop, motivate and retain talented people to the challenge and adventure of teaching.

The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) is considered the nation’s highest honor in mathematics and science teaching in the United States
