Sen. Patrick Leahy, a longtime advocate for open government and a champion of the Freedom of Information Act, is proud to be a cosponsor of recently introduced OPEN FOIA legislation.  Leahy has been raising awareness by writing and speaking about the importance of access to public information.  Below are some highlights of Sen. Sunshine Week 2008


Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) preside over a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing during the 109th Congress concerning their Freedom of Information Act legislation.  Leahy and Cornyn reintroduced the legislation on December 4, 2007.
